A relationship chart overlays two people’s BodyGraphs to reveal the energetic field that appears when you are together. It shows where channels complete only in each other’s presence (electromagnetic attraction), where you share the same defined energy (companionship), and where one person’s defined energy conditions the other’s openness. It is a map of dynamics, not a verdict about whether you are compatible.

No. We never produce a single compatibility score or tell you to stay or leave. Human Design relationship work is about understanding what happens in the field between you — where attraction comes from, where ease lives, who tends to condition whom, and how each of you can communicate and decide more cleanly. Every result is traceable to specific channels and centers so you can see exactly why it appears.

No. Both charts are calculated locally in your browser using astronomical ephemeris data. We do not store raw birth dates, times, or locations on our servers for the free relationship chart, and any summary you share never contains raw birth details.

These are the four main connection mechanisms. Electromagnetic: each person holds one end of a channel, so it only switches on together (attraction/spark). Companionship: both independently complete the same channel (familiar ease). Dominance: one completes a channel the other doesn’t have at all (a steadying, conditioning current). Compromise: one completes it while the other has just one of its two gates (a shared theme with friction). Parallel gates mean you share a single gate expressed differently.

For the most accurate result, yes — gates near a boundary can shift with the time. If you don’t know a birth time, tick “not sure of the exact time” and we use 12:00. The result will show an accuracy warning so you treat it as directional rather than exact.

No. The context only adjusts the tone of the explanations. The underlying channels, centers, and mechanics are identical regardless of the relationship type.
